“Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
– John 14:11-13
![]() Do you believe you can do the works that Jesus did? Do you believe you can do even greater things? The Bible says that because Jesus has gone to His Father, you have been granted authority to do signs, wonders and miracles! Isn’t that an awesome thought? Because you live in the Kingdom of God, anything is possible! Pastors who teach that miracles don’t happen anymore have not seen what I’ve seen. I have prayed for a man in Thailand who couldn’t walk for ten years, and he was healed and stood up and ran. On another occasion, a group of us prayed for a woman who had a tumor on her neck and the tumor vanished. Then we went to a town where it hadn’t rained for three and a half months and, as we were praying for rain, water began to come down from the sky. In Bangkok, I watched a girl, who was leading a group of teenagers on a missions trip, be hit by a car that was traveling at 60 miles per hour, go flying through the air, tumble to the ground, and get up without a scratch — she didn’t even have any dirt on her white pants! If these stories aren’t enough to convince you, I will say to you again that miracles happen! You can be healed of anything, you can beat any addiction, you can see your marriage restored, you can recoup your kids, you can bring your family back together, or you can start your own business. You can do anything if you do it in Jesus’ Name! You have been granted authority in His Kingdom for the purpose of bringing glory to the Father. Isn’t that an amazing thought? Believe that you can do greater things and watch His power flow through you to do the impossible! |
Prayer
Jesus, thank you for choosing to channel your power through me. I am humbled by the thought, and I pray that you would use my faith to bring glory to your Name.
Reflection
Have you seen Jesus do “greater things” in and through you? Do you believe that He can?
One Response
So does God heal everyone? It often says in the Bible Jesus healed them all. I want to be healed, i want my daughter healed and married, and I assume you want your son healed. I can’t help but ask why not me?
