“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.”
I want to challenge you. If you are in need of giving something away, but have absolutely no money, give some of your time. Volunteer. Use your stuff, your house. If you’re a musician, use your instruments. Use your car. Do something with your resources to plant the seed of faith.
To begin to harvest your financial future, live a life of generosity. Start to give away to your neighbors and listen to the Lord. Listen to his direction. He’s going to present you with ways that you can give and help those who are in need.
And you know what will happen? You’re probably not going to get just a check in the mail, although that has happened to me before. You’re probably going to get opportunity. Opportunity will come a knocking. Keep your eyes open for that. Keep your eyes open for that opportunity to respond to what God is giving you in response to your faith.
Prayer: Dear Lord, don’t give me more money than my character can handle. And show me opportunities to do all that you need me to do in this blessed life. Amen.
Reflection: Has money ever tested your character?
