Here’s what the Bible says: God tells you, “If you draw near to me, I will draw near to you.” At first glance, this may seem unfair. Shouldn’t God be the one initiating the connection? While there are times when He does take the lead, there are also moments when He wants you to take the initiative. So, how do you interpret the verse that states, “You draw near to me, and I will draw near to you”? Why would God set it up this way?
