If you’re anything like me, you have had to learn to come alive, emotionally. Personally, when my kids got annoying or my relationships got difficult, it was easy to give into the temptation to just pull away. Maybe you’re going through depression or an addiction, and you just have a nagging feeling that you are being high maintenance. Well, you’re right. You are high maintenance. But guess what, everyone is! Your parents are, your kids are, your spouse is, and your dog probably is, too! Everyone that matters in your life is high maintenance — but they are worth it. They’re worth every bit. They’re worth every second, every hour, and every dollar … and so are you. |

Thank you, God, for my high maintenance character. Help me to maintain myself and my loved ones who are so worth it.
